I chucked the chapter list idea on Monday and just started writing. I was supposed to wait, giving my detailed outline time to gel properly, and getting a little perspective. But I want to write!

So I did. It's been too many months since I've been producing new words on a regular basis. A big edit on Magic Bullets followed by weeks of outlining Hannah's Tale meant long, dark days with no fresh words. Those days are over, my friends! I put in some good time on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, for a weekly production of almost 5,000 words. You can watch my twitter feed for daily output.

I've written what feels like a solid chapter on the Hannah storyline. I'm not sure it's the first chapter of the book, because sometimes the book doesn't start at the beginning, if you know what I mean. Chronologically though, it's a good start, first draft-wise. I've also begun a chapter on Pol's storyline, so that should play out early this next week.

In other news, met with Joe Beernink Monday evening for our bi-weekly critique group; had a great PNWA meeting Thursday evening featuring Bill Kenower of Author Magazine; and stuffed envelopes at the Writer's Cottage on Friday.

The upcoming week is fairly sparse on special events, which I'm kinda looking forward to. My maternal unit is flying in on Thursday, but then leaving again Friday with my spousal unit, so I'll have great heaps of alone time at the end of the week. Time for more writing!
